Closed, they interlock and channel rainwater down and out through an integrated gutter system in the beams and legs, keeping everything underneath dry.

Planning permission is not required for this pergola. Always check with your local authority if you’re unsure. The ground-anchoring bolts are supplied, and it should be secured to a solid, level surface such as a patio, ideally with a slight fall so rain drains away cleanly.
